Tour Gossip with Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital...

Denise Jan- Nursing Consultant/ Medical Recruitment Co-ordinator Denise Jan- Nursing consultant/ Medical Coordinator at Search shares her most recent tour experience in Spain with Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Basildon tour was a breeze thanks to wonderful nurses and fab team from Basildon! I was so pleased with the level of professionalism the skilled nurses displayed, they all came fully prepared, had excellent English and Medical terminology. A few i had screened via Skype prior to the Interviews who had come across shy, had clearly been practising, and held their nerves very well and confidently sailed throughout the interviews. It was rewarding to see smiles beaming from ear to ear when they were offered. We went out to hire 50 candidates, and came back with 53 offered! One candidate (Isabel Coy Lopez) really stood out, her understanding and knowledge was superior and she demonstrated empathy towards patients that was flawless, not to mention she only graduated this year! 53 New Recruits for Basildon & Thurrock... Working In Partnership with Basildon & Thurrock University NHS Foundation Trust One year ago we went with Basildon and Thurrock to Madrid to recruit qualified Nurses, we were delighted when they contacted us again requesting more from Spain. After having a discussion with the Hospital as to what the trust wanted, it was agreed to recruit 50 Nurses from Madrid and Malaga. The tour was split over three days, starting Interviews in Madrid for the first two days and then Malaga for the third day of Interviews. The tour was very successful with a grand total of 53 excited Nurses, keen to start their new life in the UK this September.

Welcome to NWP new arrivals from the Philippines & India... Northwick Park Hospital received their first cohort of Filipino nurses last Thursday, shortly followed by 19 Indian Nurses that arrive on the Friday...

Following Tours to Manila in March and India in April 2014, the 1st Group of overseas nurses arrived into the UK this July, a total of 30 new smiling faces...  The nurses arrived in glorious sunshine and had a lovely welcome from the hospital who helped them to settle into their accommodation at the Hospital and arranged a fantastic social gathering in the evening at a local park so all the nurses could get to know each other and their new 'ONP class mates'. All the nurses are very pleased to have been given this wonderful opportunity to come to study and work in the NHS to use their skills and develop their knowledge & abilities, and can't wait to get started!

King's Lynn New Recruits- From Recent Tour Working In Partnership with The Queen Elizabeth- Kings Lynn NHS Foundation Trust After doing a previous Tour with King's Lynn, we were asked again to organise another tour to recruit more fantastic nurses. We took the Trust to Madrid last week, where we conducted back to back interviews over two days, and successfully offered positions to 27 Spanish nurses. The nurses were really enthusiastic and had good English communication skills. The Trust are expecting the new recruits to arrive early September and late October 2014.
