NWP Hospital Recruits 215 Indian
Nurses

215 Nurses recruited for London North West Healthcare
NHS Trust - India
This was a fast paced, intense yet epic tour of three locations in
India. We started off interviewing 3 days in Cochin, Kerala which,
followed by a day interviewing in Mumbai, followed by a day in Delhi.
The tour consisted of 2 Search members and 6 panel members from the
Trust. One of whom was a nurse previously recruited through
Search. The standard of candidates were of an extremely high
calibre. All the nurses had wonderful stories and experiences to
share.
The nurse that stood out to me the most was Adlin Sneha. She was from a
famous location called Kanya Kumari located in the South of India,
famous for its lush landscape and scenery, often the location for
Indian films. Her level of English was outstanding and you could
understand why she was a nurse by her nature and the way she spoke
about patient care. She gave great depth to her answers and spoke
proudly and passionately about nursing. I wish her and all the nurses
recruited for this tour all the very best.
Our rest days which were before and after interviews, consisted of a
cultural experience visiting the backwaters and the heritage parts of
Cochin city. The trust were very impressed with the nurses
recruited and commented that the trip was extremely well organised and
flowed very well.

25 Spanish Recruits for Bedford

25 Nurses recruited for Bedford Hospital NHS Trust
- Spain
Having already recruited with us in Spain in March 2015, Bedford
Hospital decided to return very quickly for another tour to Madrid in
April 2015.
They were impressed with the quality, potential and enthusiasm of the
young Spanish nurses already recruited and were determined to quickly
return to select more!
Paul Raynor, DDON and Helen from the Trust were both very experienced
senior staff members and they made the candidates feel less nervous and
anxious, which resulted in 25 nurses being offered positions at the
Trust.
Many were friends of some nurses already selected from the previous
tour and they were then very happy to know their friends would already
be there in Bedford to welcome them on their arrival and help them
settle into their new jobs and life here in the UK.
Comments
made by the Trust: Paul was very pleased to return to
Madrid for more staff and he found the young Spanish nurses well
trained and enthusiastic about their profession. It was pleasing
to find so many young people wanting to be nurses and happy to come to
the UK to work. He commented on their positive keen to learn attitude
and desire to use their nursing skills and education.

47 Filipino Nurses Recruited by Bradford
Teaching Hospital NHS Trust...

47 Nurses recruited for Bradford Hospital NHS Trust
- Philippines
We visited the Philippines with Bradford Trust in May to recruit staff
nurses. The interviews were held over 2 days which ran smoothly.
The Trust were amazed by the commitment of the nurses and the distances
some had travelled, one candidate had come straight from his shift
at the hospital and another had travelled 16 hours on a bus. In
total 47 candidates were offered jobs at the Hospital and it was a real
pleasure to share in their delight and gratitude.
After interviews had finished we took them on a cultural experience to
familiarise the clients with the culture and lifestyles the nurses will
be leaving behind. Everyone got on really well and enjoyed each other’s
company. The tour as a whole was excellent.

James Paget University NHS Trust Recruits 50
Filipino Nurses...
|
|
|
|
April 24th saw us travelling back to Manila
with James Paget University Hospital to recruit another cohort of
excellent nurses.
Our trip began with a flight from Heathrow via Dubai to Manila in the
Philippines. We met at the check desk at Heathrow and began our flight
chatting and recalling experiences from our last trip together in January.
After 24 hours of travelling we were all ready for a good nights sleep
once we arrived at the hotel.
On our first day we met to discuss how the process for interviews
would go and addressed any last minute questions. Interview days
saw over 70 nurses attend, who did well in their Drugs
Calculations and a written multi-choice paper which was
taken under strict conditions. The High volume of excellent nurses
made it very difficult for the Trust to select 50 nurses only.
Search recruitment had 3 members of staff attend this tour, two acted
on behalf of the Trust as panel members, and the other coordinated and
managed the administration and running of interviews. Many of the
nurses interviewed had 10 years plus experience and although some had been
working as charge nurses in the Philippines they where happy to
come to the UK as a Band 5 nurse.
Given the intensive interview schedule the evenings where spent
discussing the screening questions, candidates and the general
experience over a meal in a local restaurant. After our 2 days of
interviews James Paget where delighted with the 50 nurses and look
forward to welcoming them to the Trust in the coming months.

NWP Hospital Recruit 12 Spanish Nurses...

12 Nurses recruited for London North West
Healthcare NHS Trust - Spain
Myself and Jo from Search Recruitment met with two lovely ladies from
London Northwick Park, Jo McCarthy and Nicola Uphill. It was a short
trip to Madrid however an enjoyable one.
Search Recruitment have a long standing relationship with NWP and
understand the Trust requirements and expectations of nurses that were
required. The interviews ran very smoothly and as a whole everyone made
a great team. The evening consisted of us visiting cultural places
and talking over the interviews that had taken place each day.
Comments
made by the Trust: The Trust were very pleased with the
12 candidates offered and said how lovely each of them were, they were
looking forward to their arrival at the hospital and planned to team
them up with other Spanish nurses already working at the trust to make
them feel comfortable on arrival.

Burton Hospital Recruited 80 Nurses...
|
|
|
80 Nurses recruited for Burton Hospital NHS
Trust - Philippines
We presented the clients with some very high skilled candidates. After
three days of interviews, meeting an excess of 100 nurses, the Trust
selected their required 80. All the nurses were of an excellent
calibre, there were two candidates that stood out particularly, Dani
Aguilar and Gesa Kun Willy who stunned the clients and myself with
their advanced skills and nursing knowledge. Gesa Kun Willy was rated
by the Clients as extremely bright, achieving their highest scores and
was all round the strongest candidate they interviewed after both days.
The Trust were delighted with their offer success rate and are looking
forward to welcoming their new recruits in the coming months. All in
all it was a great tour!

NMC REVISED CODE FOR NURSES
|
|
|
The revised Code for nurses and midwives became
effective in March 2015. The
Code is central to revalidation. Nurses and midwives need to
revalidate every three years in order to remain on the NMC register.
From October 2015 you will need to look closely at the revalidation
requirements and start developing your portfolio. The NMC will be
publishing a range of guides to help you do that.

Dear Search,
It been a great journey so far .. trying to fit in and learn and
catch up and all that..but all in all a wonderful experience.. and
you have been very instrumental in helping us achieve it and a big
thank you to you for that. I have been posted in the A&E, and in
spite of the department being perpetually busy, its a really wonderful
place and everyone is friendly and helpful- which in itself is a big
boost.
